Bear Canyon Lake
This past weekend was a busy one for me. Friday night I had setup a frisbee night for the youth group at church had a great turn out about 20 kids and some adults. Had a great time played some great ultimate and had some epic plays. It was lots of fun and I might have to plan another one soon. Right after Ultimate was over I ran home took a shower threw some stuff in a bag and headed to bear canyon lake to meet up with my cousin and her husband for a weekend of camping.I got there at about 11pm, and after frisbee and driving I was pretty tired, but I stayed up, chatted and hung out around the camp fire. I was super excited about that, ever since one of my friends got back from a family vacation and talked about how all her clothes smelled like smoke (from camp fires) I have wanted to go camping so bad, so staying up a little longer was totally worth it.I am usually a pretty light sleeper and on camping trips that is probably even more true, so Saturday morning I was up around 7am a good 2 hours before the others woke up. With all my extra time I walked around and took some pictures and found some more wood for our camp fire and then sat listening to music for about another hour lol. After everyone got up and we ate some breakfast we decided to walk down to the lake and check it out. Wasn't to far from out campsite (about a mile). It was a cloudy (and sometimes rainy weekend) so when we got down to the lake I decided to take the short side and check out the dam...I was very disappointed, there was not much of a dam to look at, but the fact that as soon as we got to the dam it started raining pretty heavily on us.Needless to say by the time we got back to camp we were soaked and so was anything we had left out (my hoodie), but on the bright side it had stopped raining and didn't start again till we were going to bed. We spent the rest of Saturday hanging out and keeping the fire up before calling it a day around 10ish.Sunday I again woke up at about 7am (even though I thought I had made myself sleep in longer) so I decided to walk around again and take some more pictures trying to be super creative. When everyone woke up we decided a fire wasn't worth it after all the rain that fell the night before so we packed up and headed out. That would have been the end of the story except on the way home, south bound on the highway 87, there were 2 accidents within a mile of each other, the worse of the two involving 2 horse trailers 4 cars and a semi-truck, which actually stopped traffic for about 30 minutes or more. People started turning off their vehicles and walking around, I only bring this up because it was the first time I have been in traffic where lots of people got out of their cars and walked around. It made me feel like I was in a movie.

I really like the picture of the trees reflected in the water. :)
